Victory Day

Taylor's brother Rustin and his wife Laura arrived Thursday morning (the same day Jeff & Natalie Conolly left for SLC). It was an early morning arrival so after picking them up from the airport we headed home and Rustin woke up the kids with big bear hugs. We were so happy to see them both after 9 1/2 months. Our other guest Jose & Christina (from Sweden) were just waking up as well so it was a full house. Taylor had to teach that day so he missed out on the fun. We figured there was no time to spare so everyone piled into our 7 seater van and we headed for the train station & a days journey in Paris.

May 8th is Victory Day in France. It is a day to celebrate, honor and remember the brave souls who fought for victory during WWII. We thought it would be appropriate to pay our respects to those Allied Powers and visited the Arc de Triumph on the Champs Elysees. The flags were out and many were placing flowers in memorial. We went to the top for a great view of Paris.

These two could pass for twins if it weren't for the lack of hair on Uncle Rus!
