Jose & Christina were also fun visitors who quickly became family during their stay. Taylor met Jose 20 years ago when he was serving a mission in Spain. Two years ago Jose and Christina (who is from Sweden) were married and moved from Spain to Sweden where they have a beautiful home in the country. When they called to say they were coming for a visit we had no idea how much we would come to adore them both!
To start it all off they brought an enormous bag of Swedish gummy candy for "the kids". Turns out even the "grown up kids" love Swedish candy. I think we ate about 5 pounds one night just sitting around the table!
Jose is one of those guys who can do everything. He's got a really cute personality, yet he's so humble and kind. The kids loved watching him jump into the air, walk with pretzel legs and draw a very cool picture of our kids all in little dots!
From the minute I met Christina at the train station I knew I had made a great friend. She's so easy to talk with and she's fun! Christina is expecting their first baby in October. She was such a good sport to walk, travel and never complain. One night she favored us by making Swedish meatballs. She made a double batch and it literally took 1 hour to just cook them let alone make the mix and form them into balls. Olivia and Clara were right there learning her tricks of the trade. Olivia doesn't even like meatballs, but after tasting these specialties she became converted.
