Eglise de Hambourg (Church in Hamburg)
One of our highlights of being in Germany was going to Eglise de Hambourg with Grammie & Grandpa. All of the members were so friendly and welcoming. They had a translator in each class so that the kids wouldn't feel nervous. It was amazing to us how almost ever single person knew some English. We were able to visit and get to know them better because the language barrier wasn't so thick.
In her "spare time" Grammie sewed little felt nativities that she filled with chocolate candies for all of the primary children in her ward. Our girls were lucky enough to be there the Sunday that they passed them out. Each child was excited and it was fun to watch them go up to Grammie & thank her for the goodies.
Reed & Marilyn have made some great new friends. It is very apparent that they are loved and accepted by the church members in Hamburg. We think they make a marvelous missionary couple!
